Summary

The good thing about Unibet Poker from a recreational player perspective is that they actively try to discourage top players who simply look for players to take money from which almost every other poker site allows.

They allow you to change your poker name up to 3 times a day making it hard for players to make notes and target those they consider weak or poor players.

They have also banned all tracking software which allows players to keep a track of their hands and gives them an advantage over other players.

That aligned to the fact that the Unibet brand has been around for a long time and they have their own Unibet Open poker event, means Unibet Poker is great for the smaller players that only play a few times a week in their spare time, not so much for the ‘grinders’ that aim to make a living out of the game.

Trustworthiness

This is our Online Poker Review for Unibet Poker.

Unibet is part of the Kindred group which includes other brands such as Stan James and 32Red. As a result, you can trust them and their brands with your funds. They simply have too much to lose getting a reputation for unscrupulous behaviour.

Unibet Poker Bonuses

The bonuses on Unibet Poker continue the theme of aiming at the smaller player. The bonuses aren’t big, but there are plenty of them.

On your first deposit of £20 into poker, you get:

  • £20 of tournament tickets: 1 x €8 cash game ticket, 4 x €4 Unibet UK Tour tournament tickets.
  • €8 cash game ticket.
  • 4 x €4 Unibet UK Tour tickets.
  • £500 Play-Through bonus released in 6 stages.
  • 4 x €500 Freeroll tickets.

On top of this, there is a range of promotions for all players including High Hand Happy Hours, Early Birds, several daily Freerolls and 2 weekly Sportsbook Freerolls to keep you going.

Traffic

The traffic at Unibet Poker isn’t great compared to the top sites, but it is normally enough to find a game of Texas Hold’em or Omaha at the stake you want at most times of the day.

The weekly average for real-game cash players is 550 to 650 and most tournaments get between 40 and 200 entries.

Tournaments

Due to the low amount of traffic on the site, if you are looking for tournaments with large guarantees, then Unibet probably isn’t for you. Having said that, they do have a good range of tournaments each week including the €20K Guaranteed Supernova, €7,500 Odyssey and numerous qualifiers to their land-based event, the Unibet Open.

Banking

You can deposit funds onto Unibet Poker using most credit/debit cards, Paysafe Card, Paypal, Skrill and Bank Transfer.

The cashout times are fairly standard, 24 hours for e-wallets and 2 to 3 business days for card payments – the 1st withdrawal can take a bit longer to process.

Unibet Poker Software

As mentioned before, players cannot use tracking software on the site. Player aliases and avatars can be changed up to 3 times per day.

They use their own software so you will not see it anywhere else. The lobby is fairly standard though and it is easy to find the type of tournaments or game that you are looking for.

They have versions specifically for iOS and Android so if you have one of these, download the software and make the most of the software for your device.

The table continues the theme of being for smaller players and has a fun cartoon theme with the avatars and table covers that can be used.

There are no notes feature as players can change their alias 3 times per day, but you can still chat and see at a glance what your best hand is.

Customer Support

Unibet Poker has very rapid support and offers live chat, email and phone. They also have a very thorough help section. This may mean you don’t have to contact them to find out the answer to any question that you may have.

License

Unibet Poker holds 2 licenses, one with the UK Gambling Commission and one with the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority.
