Intertops is a site that has been around since the 1990’s, way before most sites were even a twinkle in their designers eyes.
The poker site has had something of a nomadic existence, going from one network to another, and now finds itself the flagship brand on the Horizon Poker Network.
The bonuses are good but the liquidity and software have been better, if you don’t have an account with them, we recommend you give it a try but be prepared for a slightly older feel to the site and a slightly longer wait than average for some games.
This is our Online Poker Review for Intertops Poker.
As they have been around over 20 years, we would know by now if there was anything untoward about this site.
You can rest assured that if you deposit your hard-earned funds with them, your balance will still be there the next day.
Intertops Poker Bonuses
They offer a 200% bonus of up to $1,000 for use in poker along with 25 free spins for use in their casino.
The bonus releases in $5 increments which mean you are never far from getting your next payout.
It is worth mentioning the points required to clear this bonus. All players that get dealt into a hand get the same number of points dependent on rake taken. This is opposed to many sites that give out points based on how much rake a player themselves has paid. It makes it easier to clear bonuses if you are a tight player, not so easy if you prefer to see as many flops and get involved in as many hands as possible.
They offer selected players reload bonuses from time to time. Therefore make sure to accept promotional emails from them.
The network accepts players from the US which is a rarity these days. Overall traffic on the Horizon Poker Network is very small compared to some networks. Although this could grow in the future if more brands come on board, at the moment there only tend to be lower limit games and sit and go’s can take quite a long time to fill.
As you would expect from a site that has low traffic, the guaranteed amounts aren’t particularly high either.
They advertise $1,000 Guaranteed tournaments on their tournaments page. Many sites have tournaments that are 10X higher or more, and as they also struggle to fill up sit and go’s. If you are a tournament player, you may want to look elsewhere for your big payday.
Intertops accept most the usual deposit methods such as credit/debit card, Neteller and Skrill. They also accept transactions via Bitcoin if you have any of those lying around.
Intertops Poker Software
The software at Intertops, and the rest of the skins on the Horizon Poker Network, is basic at best.
There are much better alternatives available but if you like the retro look and feel of poker sites of old, this may still be for you.
In fairness, it is easy to find your way around the lobby and your game of choice and they have Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha/Omaha Hi/Lo.
The table itself can be altered in settings and the basics like auto muck, fold to any bet and view cards once you fold are all there, along with a note making facility.
The customer support here is quite good, they offer live chat, email and phone support 24 hours a day, some countries have a toll-free number, for others it is a paid call.
They have a nice FAQ section which has the answers to the most commonly asked questions too.
Intertops Poker is licensed in Curacao and the Netherlands Antilles.
