Summary

BetOnline is one of the few around that accepts US players.

Due to the smaller amount of competition, they do aim their promotions and tournaments around the US market which is understandable.

Although the traffic may be smaller than other European rooms, there is something about BetOnline Poker that is welcoming and we would recommend you give them a go if you don’t already have an account there.

Trustworthiness

This is our Online Poker Review for BetOnline

They accept players from the US and whilst this is great for US players as there are very few options available to them. For non-US players, it could represent something of a risk.

Gambling in the US is more than a grey area and for that reason. The site could potentially be closed down or get into serious trouble Stateside at any time.

Therefore, there is always a chance this could have a knock-on effect on non-US players. As a result, they get a lower than average score for trustworthiness.

BetOnline Poker Bonuses

There is a 100% first-time deposit bonus of up to $1,000. It is worth noting that the minimum needed to qualify is $50. You also need to contact their customer support once you have made the deposit to claim.

New players will also get entry to a monthly $10K New Player Freeroll which can easily boost your bankroll.

There is a $1,100 Daily Cash Race, Bad beat Jackpot, Jackpot Sit’n’Gos and a weekly Sit N Go Challenge Leaderboard.

Traffic

BetOnline is an independent site and therefore doesn’t have the advantage of other sites to boost their liquidity.

If you are a US player, as you can play against non-US players, the site is normally ranked 2nd or 3rd in terms of highest traffic available to you.

If you are non-US, you will find it is considerably quieter than at many European sites and it can, therefore, take longer to find a game of your choice.

Poker Tournaments

As mentioned, BetOnline is a stand-alone site so you won’t find the same guarantees as at other sites. The site is aimed predominantly at the US market, and therefore the biggest tournaments they run are during the evenings US time which can be the early hours in Europe.

They do concentrate a lot of Sit’n’Go’s and if you enjoy playing these then this site could be for you.

There is however a nice Sunday Main Event which has $60K Guaranteed at 4pm ET every week.

Banking

There is a large range of deposit and cashout options including most credit/debit cards, Neteller, Skrill and Bitcoin, this is one of their more impressive areas.

BetOnline Software

The software BetOnline use is provided by Connective Games.

You get the feeling that the site itself is aimed more at sports and casino as the poker is fairly basic.

However, that is not always a bad thing and the poker lobby is therefore very easy to navigate.

The table itself offers everything that you expect it to, including notes on your opponents, options regarding chat and the ability to change the look and feel of the table, cards and chips.

Customer Support

BetOnline offers customer support 24 hours a day via live chat, phone and email.

There is a poker specific email address although the phone number is a US one and therefore non-US players will be charged international rates – we recommend you use live chat if at all possible.

License

BetOnline Poker is licensed in Panama which is fine for US players but isn’t one of the more recognized jurisdictions for European facing sites.
